Paddling Skills Day

Penobscot River Bangor area

Join local paddlers and Diversify Whitewater for a free day of paddling and celebrating with BIPOC, Queer, and allied paddlers. Participants will learn the basics of water safety and paddling techniques for packrafting, kayaking, and canoeing, and will hear stories of river history, environmental pollution, cleanup, and environmental justice movements. No experience or equipment is necessary to participate!

Diversify Whitewater is a nonprofit organization that works to share the beauty of paddling with Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), and Allies.
