Packrafting Day Trip
Exploring Fields Pond.
Hiking the Audubon Center Trails and Paddling
the Pond and Sedgunkedunk Stream.
The Plan
We will meet at the Fields Pond visitors center. After introductions and reviewing the plan for the day we will load boats and gear into our packs. Depending on the trails we choose we will have a 1/2- 2 mile hike to the south west shore of the Pond. From there we will inflate the rafts to explore the pond itself. Depending on the route we choose we will paddle from 1/2-6 miles. Arriving back at the Fields Pond boat ramp we will deflate and pack the boats for a 1/3 mile hike back to the start.
